Shipping Policy
Do you ship same day?
YES! on normal days we take orders to ship the same day until 12:00pm EST. During the week of a major holiday we often extend our cut off time on same-day shipments. Regardless of when you order, your gift basket is always handmade in our warehouse and delivered with the utmost care.
What if we get an incorrect or incomplete address?
If we ship a gift basket to an incorrect address (provided by you) and it is returned to us, unfortunately we are charged a $10 fee to return the package, which we must in turn charge you. Once a package with an incorrect or incomplete address has left for delivery there is little we can do. Either way the package will be returned to us and must be sent back out for delivery. This seldom occurs but when it does we ask for your patience and we will do everything possible to redeliver your gift basket so it arrives in perfect condition.
Can I send a package internationally?
We apologize but currently we do not ship internationally.
Summer Shipping
During the summer months it becomes necessary to ship chocolate gifts with ice packs to ensure they arive in perfect condition. They must also be shipped Monday through Friday and cannot be shipped over the weekend. (There is an extra fee for this).
Chocolate in Warm Weather
During warm weather months (typically June - September) Items containing chocolate must be shipped Express (UPS Next Day Air or 2nd Day Air) to avoid melting. If you choose a method other than Next Day or 2nd Day, Fifth Avenue Gourmet will not be held responsible for damage when the melting occurs. If your gift recipient is not available at the time of delivery, we cannot be responsible for damage that occurs to those gifts having their delivery delayed or items delivered and left unattended in warm weather.
